Call for Contributions

Aims and scope

Exponential growth of data practically in all activity areas, the consolidating role to be played by informatics and IT for the development of methods and facilities for data analysis and management in various data intensive domains (DID), study of experience of such methods application and stimulating of their advancement serve as a motivation for this conference organization.

Main objective of this conference is to promote the acceleration of researches, improvement of their efficiency (quality and visibility of results, competitive ability) at the expense of the enhancement of methods and facilities for data analysis and management in DID. It is expected that the mutual complementarity of approaches in interdisciplinary DID will contribute to the creation of the corporate culture generalizing methods for data analysis and information systems development applicable in diverse DID.

Target audience

DAMDID conference is a multidisciplinary forum of researchers and practitioners from various domains of science and research promoting cooperation and exchange of ideas in the area of data analysis and management in data intensive domains (DID). For participation at the conference the specialists from such DID as X-informatics (where X = astro, bio, chemo, geo, medicine, neuro, physics, etc.), social science, economy, finance, etc., as well as specialists in the areas of statistics, informatics, data mining, machine learning, data science, new technologies and IT, business, etc. are invited.

Conference language

The official language of the conference is English. All kinds of submissions and presentation slides have to be provided in English. Oral presentations at the conference may be in English (preferred) or in Russian.

  • Federal Research Center "Computer Science and Control" of RAS (FRC CSC RAS)
  • Lomonosov Moscow State University (Lomonosov MSU)
  • Moscow ACM SIGMOD Chapter

The XX International Conference “Data Analytics and Management in Data Intensive Domains” (DAMDID/RCDL’2018) will be held during 9-12 October 2018 in Moscow at the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Lomonosov MSU). Information on transport and accommodation can be found at website. Two days before and after the conference It is planned also to organize in Moscow meetings and discussions with the conference participants at the institutes of the Russian academy of sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University (Photos of some buildings of these organizations pls. find below at the end of this section), along with some social program in Moscow.

Submission deadline for papers 15.05.2018
Submission deadline for tutorials 20.04.2018

Deadline for camera-ready versions of the accepted papers 03.08.2018
Conference October 9 – 12, 2018
Categories of submissions

The conference structure will include the plenary keynotes and tutorials presented by the leading researchers, regular sessions containing regular and short presentations of the research results obtained in various conference tracks, as well as demo/poster sessions. For young researchers the PhD Workshop is planned. Co-located with the conference the Satellite events are also planned including workshops (open and by invitation) and invited sessions. Paper submission rules and templates can be found at the website.

Conference topics

The open list of topics proposed for submission is organized in form of the tracks presented in the list given below (detailed characterization of each track can be found at the website).

Tracks of the sphere for data analytics and problem solving in data intensive domains (DID) Tracks of data management in DID Conference Proceedings

Before the conference, its local proceedings will be published as a printed collection of all submissions accepted by PC (full texts of regular papers, short papers, abstracts of posters and demos), as well as in electronic form on the conference website.

Soon after the conference the texts of regular papers presented at the conference will be submitted for the online publishing in a volume of the European repository of the CEUR Workshop Proceedings for the sake of better visibility of the conference publications by the international scientific community, as well as for indexing the papers included into the volume in EDBT and Scopus.

Furthermore, a volume of post-conference proceedings with up to one third selected and extended papers published before in CEUR-WS DAMDID/RCDL 2018 volume will be published in the Springer's Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS, Each paper selected for the CCIS post-conference volume should be modified as follows: the title of each paper should be a new one; paper should be significantly extended (with up to at least 30% of new content); the paper should refer to its original version in CEUR-WS.

DAMDID/RCDL has been publishing with Springer in CCIS since 2016. Previous proceedings are available at

CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, and Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for inclusion in ISI Proceedings.
